Commercial bathroom partitions require specialized hardware to ensure safe, private, and robust installations. One of the most effective solutions used by facility managers and architectural planners is continuous hardware. These full-length mounting solutions prioritize structural durability and user privacy by effectively eliminating the sightlines between stall panels and doors.

Primary Materials

Continuous partition hardware is primarily manufactured from two robust materials: anodized aluminum and stainless steel. Aluminum options often feature an extruded, clear anodized finish, providing a lightweight yet sturdy frame. Stainless steel variants are frequently constructed from 18-gauge steel with a #4 satin finish, delivering maximum durability and resistance to wear. These materials are engineered to accommodate a range of standard partition panel thicknesses, typically spanning from 1/2″ to 1″.

Types of Continuous Brackets

There is a wide variety of continuous bracket designs engineered for specific installation needs within a commercial restroom:

Continuous “H” (Alcove) Brackets: These brackets, constructed from extruded anodized aluminum, are frequently used to join panels together. A standard aluminum “H” bracket is 2-1/2″ high and 54″ long, specifically designed for 1″ thick panels.

Continuous “U” Brackets: These brackets are typically utilized to attach a bathroom stall panel to a restroom stall pilaster post at a right angle. They are available in both clear anodized aluminum and stamped stainless steel, and they come in varying lengths including 54″, 57″, 63″, and 71″ to match different panel sizes.

One-Ear and Two-Ear Brackets: These continuous wall brackets are designed specifically to mount panels or pilasters directly to the restroom walls. A continuous two-ear aluminum bracket often features a wider base—such as 3-3/4″ wide—with legs that project outward to securely hold the panel. Continuous one-ear brackets feature a rounded edge radius and are highly effective at eliminating visibility into the stalls.

Additional Configurations: Suppliers also offer continuous Angles, F-Brackets, and T-Brackets (some available in vinyl plastic as well) to meet diverse architectural and spatial layout requirements

Continuous Hinges

Beyond static mounting brackets, continuous hardware also includes full-length door hinges. Hardware suppliers provide aluminum continuous adjustable spring tension hinges (often equipped with cover plates) as well as stainless steel continuous camed hinges that can accommodate both in-swing and out-swing doors with 0º or 20º cams
