Colors

Manufacturers offer 15+ standard powder coat colors, from neutrals like white, almond, gray, and charcoal to accent colors that can match school or brand colors, plus textured finishes that hide fingerprints and resist graffiti. We’ll send the current color card with your quote.

Standard hardware packages include stainless steel continuous (piano) hinges or cam hinges, occupancy-indicator latches, ADA-compliant barrier-free latches with emergency access, coat hooks with door bumpers, and tamper-resistant fasteners. On school and public-facility work we typically recommend the continuous hinge and full-height wall brackets — they eliminate the sightline gaps and take abuse better than stirrup brackets.

Where powder coated steel is the right choice — and where it isn’t

This is the part most partition websites won’t tell you. Powder coated steel is the best value in the category for dry, ventilated restrooms with normal traffic: offices, retail, houses of worship, dry school restrooms, and tenant fit-outs on a budget.

It is the wrong choice for wet or high-abuse environments. In pool areas, locker rooms, or restrooms that get hosed down, moisture eventually finds the steel at panel edges and shoe lines and rust follows. For those rooms, look at solid plastic (HDPE) partitions, which can’t rust, or solid phenolic for high-traffic facilities. Where appearance drives the spec — hotels, Class A office lobbies — stainless steel partitions are the step up.

Installation across NY, NJ & CT

Mavi is a supply-and-install contractor, not a catalog. Our crews field-measure before ordering — retrofit openings in older New York buildings rarely match nominal dimensions, and a stall that doesn’t fit means a second lead time. We handle submittals and shop drawings for GC-run projects, coordinate blocking and ceiling support requirements before the order goes in, and schedule installs around occupied buildings, including after-hours work where the building requires it.

We install throughout the five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey, and Connecticut, and we can supply material-only beyond that region.
